We have all heard the adage, “Culture eats strategy for breakfast.”

Even the brightest strategic minds of the century suffer from an inability to drive a healthy, hopeful, engaging and productive culture in the workplace. This problem has become even more acute as remote working becomes the norm. Toxicity gets amplified. Engagement drops to all-time lows. As a result, client relationships start to suffer and eventually deteriorate. The culture we build within teams is essentially the fuel on which we sustain strong growth phases as well as tough business environments.

During the past year of lockdowns and quarantines, we at Recognic have stuck closely with being happier. As an organization, Searce values the Happier code of conduct which roughly translates to being humble, adaptable, positive, passionate, innovative, excellent and responsible. We focus on a flat-tiered structure with high ownership and commitment. Most essential, we value humility in each and every person we interact with. As a result, our product brings a blend of the best elements of design, engineering, quality and impact. Our ultimate goal is to channelise these elements of behavior into every single client partnership to drive intelligent outcomes together.

We hosted our annual Sales kickoff earlier this month which brought together almost a hundred people in socially-distanced setups. The energy in the office was palpable. Free flow of ideas generated by higher collision coefficients amongst people led to multiple new initiatives being launched over the short span of a week. It seems hard to pull off, but is made possible by the fact that each one of us drives towards outcomes without an ego. There are no territorial disputes, there is no jungle culture, there are no ego-wars, there are no facades. As a result, the brightest could be the youngest and shine without any obstructions. Age is no bar for growth here.
